You need sponsorship packages for your youth sports team. You don't need to start from scratch.
Below is a complete, copy-paste-ready template with four sponsorship tiers, suggested pricing, deliverables for each level, and tips on customizing it for your specific team. Use it as-is or modify it to fit your sport, team size, and available assets.
The 4-tier sponsorship model
Most successful youth sports sponsorship programs use four tiers. This gives businesses options at different price points and makes the decision easier — they pick a level, not a custom negotiation.
Here's the structure:
| Tier | Price Range | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | $200–$500 | Small local businesses, solo practitioners |
| Silver | $500–$1,000 | Established local businesses |
| Gold | $1,000–$2,500 | Businesses wanting prominent visibility |
| Platinum | $2,500–$5,000 | Title sponsors, anchor businesses |
Pricing depends on your team size, number of games, and what you can actually deliver. More on that in our pricing guide.

How to customize this template
Step 1: List your actual assets
Before filling in the template, write down everything your team can offer:
- Do you have jerseys with space for a logo?
- Do you have a field banner or do you need to buy one?
- Does your team have a website?
- Does your team have social media accounts? How many followers?
- Do you send newsletters or group emails? How many recipients?
- Do you attend tournaments? How many per season?
- Do you host any events (banquets, picture day, etc.)?
Only include deliverables you can actually fulfill. Promising a "website feature" when you don't have a website destroys trust.
Step 2: Set honest pricing
Use this formula as a starting point:
Bronze: Cost of one new uniform for one player Silver: 2x to 3x Bronze Gold: 2x to 3x Silver Platinum: 2x to 3x Gold
For a team of 15 kids where uniforms cost $30 each:
- Bronze: $300
- Silver: $700
- Gold: $1,500
- Platinum: $3,500
Adjust based on your location, sport, and audience size. Teams in larger metro areas with 20+ players can charge more. See our detailed pricing guide for more specific numbers.
Step 3: Make it look professional
A well-formatted sponsorship package signals that you're organized and serious. Businesses are more likely to say yes when the ask looks professional.
Tips:
- Use your team colors in the document
- Include your team logo at the top
- Add a team photo if you have one
- Keep it to 1-2 pages (businesses won't read a 10-page packet)
- Use bullet points, not paragraphs
- Bold the deliverables so they're scannable
Step 4: Add contact information
At the bottom of your package, include:
- Team manager or coach name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Team website (if applicable)
- A direct link to sponsor (if using an online platform)
What NOT to include in your package
Vague deliverables. "Various promotional opportunities" means nothing. Be specific: "4 social media posts" is better than "social media promotion."
Unrealistic audience numbers. Don't say "reaches 500 families" if you have 12 players. Businesses will figure this out, and inflated numbers kill trust.
Too many tiers. Four is the sweet spot. More than that creates decision fatigue. Fewer than three doesn't give enough range.
Charity language. "Please help our kids" is weaker than "your logo on jerseys seen at 18 games by 200+ local families." Position it as marketing, not a donation. Read our guide on getting local business sponsors for more on this.
